Cindi Nannetti

Cindi Nannetti is a longtime prosecutor in the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office. For more than two decades, Nannetti has vigorously prosecuted adult and juvenile sex offenders in Arizona.

A strong protector of victims of sex crimes, Nannetti also helped draft and lobby for statutes like the Arizona Sexually Violent Persons law and the Arizona Rape Shield law. She has served on numerous boards, and lectured extensively on effective prosecution of sex offenders. In recognition of her efforts, she was named Outstanding Sexual Assault Prosecutor in 2002, and Arizona Felony Prosecutor of the Year in 2004.  

Nannetti received her undergraduate degree from Arizona State University, and her Juris Doctor from the University of Arizona. Upon graduation, she worked for the Tucson Prosecutor’s Office. She was an assistant Pima County Attorney for four years before joining Maricopa County Attorney’s Office in 1988. In 1991, she was Bureau Chief of the Sex Crimes Unit. Today, she prosecutes juvenile sex offenders in the Juvenile Division.

Nannetti, who has three sons, said she is “deeply honored” to serve on the board.

“It means a lot to me to be involved in helping families of officers who protect our communities every day, sometimes with tragic consequences,” Nannetti said.
