Lisa Schultz
Lisa Schultz is co-founder of Survivor Health Network. Lisa is a former Phoenix Police Officer who joined the Department in 1979 because she “had a dream of helping people.” As a patrol officer and property crimes detective, Lisa was involved in Block Watch and school programs. She served as vice president of the Arizona Crime Prevention Association and was a certified Arizona Law Enforcement Academy instructor. She left the force due to an injury in 1993.
While on the force, she met and married her husband, Phoenix Police Officer Don Schultz, a 20-year-veteran who was a master diver and a pilot with the Air Support Unit. After 11 years of marriage, Lisa was faced with incomprehensible tragedy when Don died as the result of a diving accident during a search for evidence in a canal in 2004.
After Don’s death, the couple’s many animals - especially their horses - kept her going. Lisa was instrumental in initiating SHN’s new Hugs-n-Horses program to help other survivors. |
